Rochester, New York

This event only happens every two years and is only a relatively short distance away in Rochester, New York. We don’t know how long this national event will stay in our area of the country. We are not having a meeting in September specifically to encourage people to attend the Nationals. It is, I think I can say confidently, unlike anything you have ever seen. The finest trees in the United States (and Canada) on exhibition, presentations and demos by national and international artists, and vendors galore. I believe the conference hotel is booked, but there are plenty of other hotels in the vicinity. You can purchase tickets which you should do very soon if you want to attend because I suspect they will sell out. They will have some tickets on site on the day(s) of the event but it’s not worth the stress to go all the way to Rochester and not knowing whether you can get in.

We have at least one member who will have a tree in the exhibition itself! Having a bonsai accepted for display in the Nationals is among the highest honors for a bonsai enthusiast (or professional). We have two other members whose trees are pending acceptance. Again, please consider attending this fabulous event.
